1. Overview

LoolaApps ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how EquiEarn handles data related to your rides, specifically focusing on motion, fitness, and location information.

2. Data Collection

A. Motion and Fitness Data

EquiEarn utilizes your device's Core Motion sensors (accelerometer, gyroscope, and magnetometer) to record the movement of the horse. This data is used to identify gaits (walk, trot, canter) and contribute to AI training datasets. This data is collected locally during a "Ride" and is only uploaded to our servers upon your explicit submission.

B. GPS and Location Data

The App collects precise location data (GPS) to track distance, speed, and pathing. This is necessary for the App's core functionality of logging equine performance. This data is collected in the background while a ride is being recorded if permissions are granted.

C. Account and Payout Information

    EquiEarn requires an account, created via Sign in with Apple, so that we can track your ride history and pay you for accepted rides. We store an account identifier (linked to your Apple ID), your accrued balance, and the payout details needed to send you money (such as your Stripe or PayPal account information). Your ride sensor data is linked to your account so we can credit your balance, but it is not linked to your name, email address, or phone number.
  

3. Data Usage and Sharing

Research & Development: The primary use of collected ride data is to train machine learning models to better understand equine gait and health.
Commercial Sharing: You acknowledge that Ride Data (including GPS paths and motion metrics), stripped of your account identifier and payout details, may be shared or sold to third-party partners for research, sports science, or commercial AI development.
Payment Processing: Payout details (e.g., Stripe or PayPal account information) are shared only with our payment processors to send you money, and are never sold or shared for research or commercial purposes.

4. Permissions

You can manage these permissions at any time via your iOS Settings:

Location Services: Required for path and speed tracking.
Motion & Fitness: Required for gait analysis and sensor recording.

5. Data Retention

Account information (your account identifier, balance, and payout details) is retained for as long as your account is active. Ride Data shared for research or commercial purposes, stripped of your account identifier and payout details, may be retained indefinitely to support the ongoing development of AI models and equine research.

6. Account Deletion & Data Erasure

You may permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the app:

Open the app and go to your Profile
Tap Settings
Scroll down and tap Delete Account

Deleting your account will permanently and irreversibly erase all data associated with your account, including your profile, ride history, sensor recordings, and account balance.

Important: Once your account is deleted, any remaining balance cannot be withdrawn. All funds associated with the account will be forfeited. This action cannot be undone.
